We find the best way for a company to go about raising sponsorship, is to treat it like any other business project. Designate roles and responsibilities utilising your resources to the greatest effect. Draw up a list of business associates and create a standard document for all your communications – include information regarding the challenge you are completing, which could also include a link to the Mountain Sense Challenge site, and sufficient information about the role of the charity you are fund-raising for. You want to really make potential sponsors sit up and take notice of  the level of effort and commitment you are putting into the challenge event – so they feel obliged to offer a proportionate level of donation.

If your business has strong ties with a particular charity, then it may be worth exploring the possibility of having your company underwriting the total cost of the event. This, in our experience, is not unusual and it sends out a powerful message about your company.
